Burt Jackson – President

Burt Jackson founded Capitol Network Solutions in 2001. As President of CNS, he takes pride in the relationships and friends that he has developed over his 30 years in the telecom sales industry and in representing companies that are dedicated to manufacturing quality network cabling infrastructure products.

Before founding CNS, Burt managed the Maryland commercial and federal business of Anixter, a global distributor of communications and security products and related small components. Prior to that, he worked for both inside and outside sales for Anixter in Raleigh, NC.

Burt graduated from the University of North Carolina with a degree in political science. When he isn’t working, Burt is spending time with his wife and two sons, fishing – preferably from a kayak – or on the golf course.

Chris Edlund

Chris Edlund has extensive background in the DataCom industry going back to the late 1980’s before networks were a necessity. Token Ring and coax were all the rage, and CAT was what you called your family pet. His customer base is wide-ranged with customers depending on Chris’ expertise and project support since before the spawn of Ethernet. Chris has been rooted in the metro area IT industry with cable assembly manufacturing and then worked his way through a cabling installation contractor and a small regional distributor. In 2000, Chris moved to a direct manufacturer’s role with Tyco International.

In 2017, Chris joined the Capitol Network Solutions team with an emphasis in the Northern VA data center corridor. He will continue to develop relationships with the multitude of new clients in this area, as well as enhancing his existing vast customer base in the entire metro DC corridor.

When not working on client projects, Chris enjoys spending family time in Western MD with his wife Kim, while watching their son Jordon play Division III baseball in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference with the Shenandoah University Hornets.
